It's pretty obvious that the cape and the safety vest have different designs. This can of course be a decisive criterion for parents or children.

Aside from that, the cape is particularly suitable for school children or children who often carry a backpack when moving around in traffic. The cape was designed so that the back part can be placed over the school bag or backpack. This means that the red LEDs are visible even when the child is wearing a backpack. With the high-visibility vest, however, the red LEDs on the child's back are at least partially covered by the school bag. Children can also put the cape on themselves more easily because it is simply pulled over their head. With the high-visibility vest it is a little more complicated because the arms and head have to be put through the different sides and then the Velcro fastener has to be closed. Children who do not yet go to school often need the help of an adult to put on the safety vest.

However, the LED warning vest sits a little closer to the child's body. This means that if the cape or vest is used often while running around or cycling to school, the high visibility vest will stay firmly in place, while the cape will sometimes blow up at the back at higher speeds on the bike. However, this really only happens in very strong winds or with children who can already ride a bike quickly.

Please be sure to remove the battery before washing the LED warning cape.

The warning cape can then be washed in the machine on the gentle cycle and at a maximum of 30 degrees.
